Homeschooling in Missouri: the paperwork, exactly

What Missouri law requires when you teach your child at home — the filings, the deadlines, the records — and what it does not require, in writing.

Missouri — No filing — guidance only

Notice: No filing required; an optional declaration of enrollment may be filed under 167.042.

Ongoing duties: 1,000 hours of instruction (600 in core subjects); keep a logbook, portfolio, and evaluation records - kept, not filed; no testing.

Withdrawal from public school: no codified withdrawal procedure — a dated written notice to the school is the practice, and it creates your paper record.
